I felt I have learned how paper is recycled, how they made sugar from sugar canes and its processes and how Styrofoam is made from polystyrene which is a petroleum based plastic made from crude oil. The filed trip was fun and long and really tiresome. Even though that Saturday was very hot but we set out and kept going. At first we did'nt know how paper was recycled but after we got from the field trip we learned that paper was first watered and turned into a stinky substance. Then, they added corn starch to make it harder then used a machine to form it and made paper. In the Sugar mill factory I learned that sugar was grinded, boiled and turned into syrup then turned into sugar. The last was styrofoam which is a short process and started at when polystyrene is heated and expanded then cooled down. How they made is just a short process.
The field trip was successful but the past field trip is not. i have to say that itis better if they made an announcements when they have really finalized all of the things. I would also personally want to learn how softdrinks were made. I would like to suggest that next time we would go to a softdrink factory. I would also like to take some samples but over all the field trip was ok.
