Last January 31, 2009, the juniors & seniors of cebu eastern college are so excited about the field trip. Some students arrived very early in the school because they were very excited and some students were late and almost left the bus. In the bus we are so noisy like there's an earthquake because we are so ignorant and excited, but after how many hours we became silent because we're tired and some were sleeping. We were having fun and take some funny photos while eating snacks. When we arrived in the paper mill factory in Danao, we were amazed about the machines and their equipments and the process of making the papers. And when I went to the mixing chest I almost vomitted because it's so smelly. Luckily I didn't vomit...ahhaa!!!

And when we arrived in the sugar mill factory, it was so SMELLY!!! We almost vomitted because of the smell and it's so dirty and wet. And I "think" after the sugar has been made i "think" it is dirty because of the machines are dirty. After that, we went to Mandaue because there's another factory over there. When we arrived in the styro factory we were amazed how the iceboxes and styro being made. Their machines are so cool and great. After that, we went to the paper mill in Mandaue, we saw the process how the cartons being print, being stitch, and being cut. And sad to say some factory workers are so unlucky beacuse our tour guide said that some of them their hand are being cut because of their foolishness and not concentrating with their works and always talking while cut that's why some of them their hand are being cut. After that, we went already to our school and some of us were very tired and because of the sun is very hot.

And we already discovered how these things being made. We were so lucky to have a field trip because last year we didn't experience this one. And thank you for letting us experience this one.... that's all I can say and Thank you for reading......:-)

"the positives and negatives and the suggestions I put it in the lowest part of the blog."

This is where the recycled cartons and papers where place so that it will decompose.

PULPER STOCK CHEST

This is where the recycled cartons are mushed up until it turn into wastes.

HIGH DENSITY

sand, pressure, rise light matter to leave wastes.

COMBISORTER

sorts heavy or light matters or wastes.

DECKER

It has the experience to arranged the development process by carefully balancing of the competing needs of these various project elements.

REFINER STOCK CHEST

It used for refining certain materials or converting raw material into products of value.

MIXING CHEST

It is where Cassava starch is added.

PAPER MACHINE

This machine is where they form the paper and has vacuum which drain water.

PRESSING MACHINE

consist of three presses to take the water out.

DRYER

This machine is where the paper dries.

REEL

rolls the paper.

These are fresh sugar canes that has been cut down.

This is where the sugar canes are gathered to be cut into shreds. And this area is very very smelly and I almost "suka".

This is the start where the sugar canes are being carried and cut into strips.

This process is where the sugar cane that is being grind was already turn into refined pieces and take off the juices.

CLEAN JUICE STRAINER

strains the syrup and the dust are being left.

VACUUM FILTER
mud used to be recycled again for fertilizer.

EVAPORATOR

adds water to the cane juice to turn them into syrup consist of 4 processes.

This sugar at the side is hot, this one is to be taken and to be carried to the finished product of the sugar.

This view is very nice and so fresh...

There are styrofoams which are wrongly made and after these will be recycle to form another styrofoams or iceboxes.

This is where we can see the Styrofoam made through this machine.

Styrofoam Items needed to make styrofoam – water(hot), steam and air (note to make styrofoam you need polystyrene which is a petroleum based plastic made from crude oil) .

Expander machine

heats polystyrene to make the styrofoam and has a molding machine which shapes the styrofoam into differrent shapes.

SILO BOX

Where the styrofoam box or balls cool down and get ready for distribution.

These are fine balls where it will be made into styroballs or styrothings.

Finished product of the icebox.

This machine is where the cartons are staple.

This machine is where the big cartons are cut into small cartons.

The worker glue the cartons together if the clients' don't want to staple it.

Finished product with the clients' logo where they are stock in the bodega.

I felt I have learned how paper is recycled, how they made sugar from sugar canes and its processes and how Styrofoam is made from polystyrene which is a petroleum based plastic made from crude oil. The filed trip was fun and long and really tiresome. Even though that Saturday was very hot but we set out and kept going. At first we did'nt know how paper was recycled but after we got from the field trip we learned that paper was first watered and turned into a stinky substance. Then, they added corn starch to make it harder then used a machine to form it and made paper. In the Sugar mill factory I learned that sugar was grinded, boiled and turned into syrup then turned into sugar. The last was styrofoam which is a short process and started at when polystyrene is heated and expanded then cooled down. How they made is just a short process.

The field trip was successful but the past field trip is not. i have to say that itis better if they made an announcements when they have really finalized all of the things. I would also personally want to learn how softdrinks were made. I would like to suggest that next time we would go to a softdrink factory. I would also like to take some samples but over all the field trip was ok.

That's all for today and thank you..... have a wonderful life...
